Yesterday we picked up the Harley at the dealership where it got its 10K check-up and new tires, new brakes, new plugs, and a wash. Tom rode it home and when I asked how it rode, his words, "Like a breeze" lets me know we're ready to start off early tomorrow morning.
Tom had to work today, so his packing took place last night. I filled my saddlebag today. I still marvel at the fact that I can pack so lightly these days; that wasn't always the case. In the days of cars with "big trunks" it was cool to take at least a couple of bags. Now a little saddlebag and a small carrying bag and I'm ready to hit the road. I have found one secret weapon however--cargo pants. LOVE the pockets. Can't have that camera too far away!
We'll take off tomorrow around 6:30. There's a chance of rain, but this time of year pretty much gives the same forecast daily. We can always hope we won't need the rain suit to start the first leg.
